If you follow me on Instagram or Pinterest, you may have noticed that I’m on a smoothie kick!  My husband’s parents gave me a Magic Bullet for my birthday last week and I’ve had a lot of fun experimenting with different smoothie recipes.  My favorite recipe so far is my Banana, Honey and Almond Smoothie.  The title really doesn’t do the smoothie justice.  The ingredients also include granola, greek yogurt and a dash of cinnamon and pumpkin spice.  The best part?  The ingredients are all natural and fit into a “clean eating” diet.

Ingredients

For two medium-sized smoothies or one very large smoothie

    • 1 Container of 100%  Vanilla Greek Yogurt (about 3/4 of a Cup)
    • 1 Cup of Plain Granola (I didn’t save the box for mine, but it’s from Costco.  I always try to buy granola with the least amount of ingredients and make sure it has no sugar, flour or salt)
    • 2 Tablespoons of Honey
    • 2 Heaping Tablespoons of Almond Butter (Plain Almond Butter – no sugar or sweetener added)
    • 2 Very Ripe Bananas
    • 1 Dash of Cinnamon
    • 1 Dash of Pumpkin Spice
    • At least a 1/2 Cup of Ice

 

Directions

Combine all ingredients into a Magic Bullet or regular blender.  You may want to slowly add your ice as needed.

I like to blend it until it is very smooth, making even the ice and granola very smooth.

You will be surprised at how filling this smoothie is!
